Our goal as a gym is to always ensure that your child is developing healthy character skills and leadership that will continue to benefit them later in life. Competitive Cheerleading is an excellent way to foster teamwork, drive and self-discipline. Our action packed exciting routines get the blood pumping as much for the crowd as they do for the athletes on the mat.

Options for Cheer Teams at Funkytown Cheer Factory

Show Teams

Tiny Age: 2017 – 2021
Mini Age: 2015 – 2019
Youth Age: 2012 – 2019

Athlete’s will learn a 1 minute 30 second routine containing Cheer Jumps, motions, tumbling, and basic stunting.

Practices:
May-July: One 1 hour practice/week
August-April One 1 hour or 1.5 Hour Practices/week – Depending on age

Coaches will prepare athletes for Novice level and beyond throughout the year.

Novice Teams

Tiny Age: 2017 – 2021
Mini Age: 2015 – 2019
Youth Age: 2012 – 2019

Athlete’s will learn a 1 minute 30 second routine that includes elements of stunting and pyramid, standing and running tumbling, dance, and jumps.

Practices:
May-July: One 1 hour practice/week + one 1 hour team tumbling/week
August-April One 2 hour practice/week + one 1 hour team tumbling/week

Athletes will compete in 3-4 events per season locally

Prep Teams

Tiny Age: 2017 – 2021
Mini Age: 2015 – 2019
Youth Age: 2012 – 2019
Junior Age: 2008-2018
Senior Age: 6/1/2005-2014

Athlete’s will learn a 2 minute routine that includes elements of stunting and pyramid, standing and running tumbling, dance, and jumps.

Practices:
May-July: One 2 hour practice/week + one 1 hour team tumbling/week
August-April Two 2.5 hour practice/week + one 1 hour team tumbling/week

Athletes will compete in 4-6 events per season locally.

Coaches will spend time in practice preparing prep athletes for the jump to Elite.

Elite Teams

Tiny Age: 2017 – 2021
Mini Age: 2015 – 2019
Youth Age: 2012 – 2019
Junior Age: 2008-2018
Senior Age: 6/1/2005-2014

Athlete’s will learn a 2 minute 30 second routine that includes elements of stunting and pyramid, standing and running tumbling, dance, and jumps.

Practices:
May-July: One 2.5 hour practice/week + one 1 hour team tumbling/week
August-April: Two 2.5 hour practice/week + one 1 hour team tumbling/week

Athletes will compete in 5-6 events per season locally and 1 travel competition. End of year competition will be determined by performance in-season (additional fees will be communicated leading up to end of year competition(s)).
